The transparent trailer technology developed by Jaguar Land Rover allows drivers towing a trailer to see a view of the road behind through the rear view mirror, improving safety whilst overtaking.
Another feature developed for towing is Cargo Sense, which monitors the load on a trailer, alerting the driver if anything becomes loose whilst driving or if being tampered with whilst parked. This has great benefit for those working in equestrian or farming environments.
The film was shot on private grounds in Warwickshire and roads around the area. The logistics were quite extensive, managing models, horses, three Range Rovers, an Airstream trailer, classic Range Rover, horse box, professional drivers and a crew of five.
We shot on Sony FS7, with two A7s’ fed into Atomos Shoguns used for the interior vehicle and Ronin Gimbal shots. The glass was Canon Cine Primes, which gave a beautifully crisp look to everything. The two Sony cameras were a great match, as we shot in sLog for increased dynamic range in the grade.
You can find more information on this technology at the Land Rover Live website.
This film was produced whilst I worked at Bulb Studios.
